Believe in Destiny

Reading the book, The Last Lecture, has truly got me thinking.

Firstly, you must be reminded that we cannot change the cards we are dealt, just how we play the hand. I guarantee you, obstacles are going to be thrown at you in life. But, it is up to you how you decide to deal with such obstacles.

These obstacles can often be regarded as a "brick wall." Mind you, the brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough. They’re there to stop the other people. What would be the point to life if it was easy? It is supposed to be a challenge. It is supposed to be a chance for each and every one of us to go out there and attack the brick walls and even stare at them and have confidence that you will, and can, take them down.

And, always remember, it is important to do the right thing. When you do the right thing, good stuff has a way of happening. I am confident that life's pretty damn funny in that way, no matter what the circumstance—if you cease to accept anything but the best, more often than not, you will indeed get it.

It's not about how to achieve your dreams, it's about how to lead your life. If you lead your life the right way, the karma will take care of itself, and the dreams will come to you.

Appreciate what life gives you. Appreciate all the good things you have. Appreciate the time you spend with the people you love to spend time with. The key question to keep asking is, Are you spending your time on the right things? Because time is all you have.

Use your time wisely. And, why not give it a shot—believe in destiny.
