Someone mentioned to me that they read something about the Pat Harmon Run in the local news. You can read the article here: http://smithtown.patch.com/articles/nominate-a-smithtown-hometown-hero?ncid=wsc-patch-image
Smithtown, the town that I reside in, is looking to honor a 2011 Community Hero. In the article, myself and Mike Catalano are mentioned for putting on the 1st and 2nd Annual 5K Run/Walks for Pat Harmon, respectively.
I do not look at this as an honor to Mike and I, but rather a tribute to Coach Harmon. He was such a remarkable man that is constantly talked about because of how many people he touched through his fight with cancer.
A big shout out to Smithtown Patch for recognizing our efforts in putting on the 1st and 2nd installment of the Pat Harmon 5K Run.
We look forward to many more races to come.
